Strict Control Of Material Composition Standards To Forge High-Quality Marine Propellers
May 28, 2026
As the core component of a ship's power system, marine propellers operate continuously in harsh marine environments featuring high salinity, strong corrosion, heavy loads and intense impact. The accuracy of material composition directly determines the service life, operational stability and navigation safety of propellers. To control product quality from the source, our Lifa Propeller series adheres to a stringent raw material composition control system and standardized quality inspection procedures, ensuring every finished product fully complies with the inspection standards of classification societies and other authoritative institutions worldwide.
Material quality is the foundation of propeller performance. Our marine propellers are manufactured from high-performance C630AlBz aluminum bronze (Cu3 alloy), a premium material specially applied for large marine propellers thanks to its high strength, excellent corrosion resistance and superior wear resistance. To eliminate quality risks such as composition deviation and excessive impurities, we adopt professional X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) spectrometers for non-destructive composition testing at key production stages, conducting comprehensive material verification on every finished propeller to build a solid first line of quality defense.
Equipped with high-precision portable spectral testing equipment, we achieve accurate and reliable detection of all alloy component proportions of propellers. The qualified material composition of our Lifa Propellers is standardized as follows: Copper 79.89%, Iron 6.77%, Aluminum 6.55%, Nickel 4.87%, Manganese 0.86% and Silicon 0.83%. Every component ratio is precisely verified. The copper substrate guarantees the basic toughness and thermal conductivity of the alloy; iron and nickel elements enhance the overall structural strength and fatigue resistance; aluminum, manganese and silicon significantly improve the seawater corrosion resistance and wear resistance. The scientific and standardized component ratio perfectly adapts to the complex operating conditions of marine vessels.
Material composition testing is not a formal procedure but a core process of our quality control system. All testing procedures strictly comply with the specifications of mainstream classification societies including CCS and BV. All testing data and process records are fully retained, ensuring complete traceability of every parameter. We strictly prevent raw materials with unqualified composition or proportion deviation from entering production and finishing processes, fundamentally avoiding common quality defects such as propeller deformation, corrosion and excessive wear.
The rigorous material control system serves as the solid guarantee of product quality. We have established a full-process closed-loop quality control system covering raw material screening, online composition detection, finished product verification and authoritative certification application. All delivered Lifa Propellers feature 100% compliant material composition that meets industry and classification society standards, with qualified structural strength, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Moving forward, we will continue to uphold refined quality control concepts, control every detail with precise testing and strict standards, and provide solid and reliable core equipment guarantee for maritime navigation safety.
