Shipping Log Of Large Propeller & Matching Cap Fin

Jul 11, 2026

Our factory completed loading and secure fastening of a set of custom large nickel-aluminum bronze propeller and supporting cap fins today. All finished products have passed precision machining, non-destructive testing and dynamic balance inspection, fully meeting factory delivery standards. We finished all procedures including hoisting, binding, safety fixing and pre-delivery acceptance.

This shipment consists of two core components: a 4-blade oversized marine propeller with diameter over 4 meters, and its integrated matching flow cap fin. Cast from high-strength nickel-aluminum bronze, the propeller blades are finely polished with dimpled damping machining on the surface, which effectively reduces navigation vibration and cavitation erosion. It is designed to fit the power system of ocean-going bulk carriers. The matched cap fin perfectly aligns with the propeller hub, optimizing wake flow field to boost propulsion efficiency and cut fuel consumption. The two parts are custom supporting accessories to be delivered to the client as a complete set.

A heavy-duty flatbed trailer was selected for transportation due to the propeller's massive size and dead weight. Before hoisting, quality inspectors, lifting team and sales staff jointly verified dimensions, weight and product labels, confirming full consistency with the client's drawing order before lifting operations. Soft slings were used to lift the main propeller body to prevent scratches on precision-machined blade surfaces. The propeller hub was supported by steel barrels to distribute load and avoid deformation. The matching cap fin was then hoisted onto the reserved area of the flatbed truck. Buffer protective film fully covers blade edges and protruding parts of the cap fin to eliminate collision and abrasion risks during transit.

Multiple heavy-duty tension binders were cross-fastened to lock the propeller hub base onto the anti-slip platform of the trailer. Diagonal safety ropes were installed on both sides of blades to counteract lateral shifting caused by bumpy long-distance transport. Rubber cushions were placed at all hard metal contact points. After binding, stability shake tests were conducted repeatedly to ensure zero looseness or displacement of all components. Our sales colleague took on-site photos with finished products as delivery records, cross-checking contact info, official website and contact numbers, and archiving loading photos for client update and product file management.

Before leaving the factory, the full set underwent complete quality tests including material spectrum analysis, blade thickness flaw detection, overall dynamic balance calibration and geometric dimension re-inspection. All performance indicators comply with international classification society standards. A final comprehensive inspection of protection layers, binding points and support structures was carried out after loading, confirming no potential hazards for long-distance land transport.

Delivering the propeller and cap fin as a complete package enables direct installation on the client's vessel upon arrival. We will track logistics progress, send on-site loading photos and shipping documents to overseas buyers, and follow up on after-sales service and cargo receipt.

All loading operations strictly followed the factory's work safety regulations. The whole heavy-lift and oversize loading process was well-organized with no safety incidents or product damage. All photos, quality inspection reports and loading records are filed to complete the full lifecycle product ledger.
