The hatch cover is integrally cast from high-strength marine aluminum alloy. The lightweight structure reduces hull load while delivering excellent bending and impact resistance. After sandblasting pretreatment, the surface is coated with dedicated marine anti-corrosion paint to resist marine salt spray and humid air, preventing rust, paint peeling and deformation during long-term offshore operation.

With recessed flush structure, the cover stays level with the deck after full closure. There are no protruding components to obstruct pedestrian movement, rope operation and cargo handling, eliminating tripping risks and complying with modern marine safety standards. Anti-slip patterns are pressed on the cover surface to enhance safety under wet conditions caused by splashing seawater.

Its sealing and locking system differs structurally from gas-spring supported skylights. Equipped with a multi-link handwheel synchronous compression mechanism, rotating the handwheel drives surrounding locking blocks to press the cover evenly. The continuous rubber gasket fits tightly against the flange to achieve stable watertightness and stop rainwater and seawater from penetrating into lower cabins. All hinges are made of seawater-resistant stainless steel for smooth rotation. The mechanical locking structure can prevent accidental opening under wind and wave loads during navigation.

A wide range of standard sizes are available in stock. Customization based on customer cutout drawings is supported, including overall dimensions, locking layout and mounting holes. Pre-drilled holes on the flange facilitate onboard installation, suitable for block pre-outfitting and later maintenance. All procedures including casting, grinding, painting and assembly are finished within Lifa Outfitting's factory. Every hatch undergoes watertight test and repeated opening-closing inspection before delivery.
