Production Update | Custom Lifa Propeller Enters Final Finishing Stage
Feb 07, 2026
Today in our workshop, a large four-blade propeller custom-made for a Greek client in Europe is entering the final stage of CNC precision machining. The distinctive diamond-patterned surface of its copper alloy blades is a hallmark of Lifa Propeller's exclusive energy-saving design.
This propeller features Lifa's independently developed bionic blade profile, with a gradient twist from root to tip. Combined with the supercavitation texture on the blade surface, it allows water flow to adhere more smoothly, reducing boundary layer separation and hub vortex energy loss. Verified by full-scale ship tests, this proprietary design delivers 5%-20% fuel savings for vessels, perfectly meeting the Greek shipowner's core demand for high efficiency and energy conservation in ocean navigation.
Right now, CNC equipment has just completed precision milling and texturing of the blades. Next, it will undergo dynamic balancing tests and surface polishing to ensure each blade meets the stringent standards of classification societies. Our engineers are conducting final inspections on machining accuracy-a commitment to product quality that ensures this propeller, built with Lifa's technical expertise, will deliver long-term fuel cost savings for the Greek client's vessel once delivered.

From initial CFD hydrodynamic simulation design to the final finishing stage today, every step reflects Lifa's pursuit of "high efficiency, energy saving, and reliability." This propeller is not only the result of deep collaboration with our Greek partner, but also a vivid example of how Lifa Propeller empowers the global shipping industry to move toward greener development through technology.
