Precision-Engineered Lifa Marine Propeller Materials & Quality Control

Sep 10, 2026

The purity of propeller materials and their elemental proportions determine product strength, corrosion resistance, cavitation resistance, and operational stability. Inconsistent material composition and substandard purity can easily lead to cavitation wear, corrosion cracking, and strength degradation, resulting in lower propulsion efficiency, increased maintenance costs, and compromised navigation safety and service life for vessels.

All marine propellers in our plant undergo material inspection using handheld alloy analyzers and spectrometers. We conduct full-process compositional analysis on raw materials, casting blanks, and finished products to precisely control the elemental ratios and material uniformity of nickel-aluminum bronze. This complies with classification society standards such as CCS, BV, and RINA, fundamentally preventing compositional deviations and the use of substandard raw materials in production.

Compared to the extensive model of manual visual inspection and simple random sampling, instrument-based quantitative testing offers higher precision and traceable data. Traditional methods fail to identify trace compositional deviations, resulting in unstable finished material quality and difficulty in passing classification society inspections. Relying on mature propeller manufacturing experience, we use actual instrument measurements as the basis for judgment, supplemented by complete inspection documentation, to meet classification society acceptance and ensure consistent and stable material performance for every finished product.

Nickel-aluminum bronze materials certified as qualified through testing are dense and uniform, possessing exceptional resistance to seawater corrosion, water flow impact, and cavitation wear, with minimal performance degradation during long-term navigation. The material indices meet classification society standards, ensuring smooth inspection clearance, enhanced propulsion efficiency, extended propeller service life, reduced repair and replacement costs, and guaranteed long-term stable vessel operations.
