LIFA Propeller Factory: Finished Product Weighing Process

At LIFA Propeller Manufacturing Factory, every finished propeller that has completed finishing, grinding and static balance correction must go through a strict finished product weighing process. This step aims to confirm the final weight of each propeller blade and provide core data support for ship shaft system design and subsequent on-board balance.

We use high-precision electronic crane scales to lift the finished propeller stably and accurately read its weight value. This data must not only be checked against the design drawings and order technical requirements to ensure the weight deviation is within the range allowed by classification societies, but also be permanently recorded and archived for delivery to customers and ship owners.

Many people think "weighing" is just a simple step, but it is actually a key quality inspection checkpoint before the propeller leaves the factory:

The propeller being weighed in the picture is a custom 4-blade copper alloy propeller for our customer, manufactured at our Zhoushan factory. From the rough casting to static balance correction and precision finishing, errors in every step are controlled layer by layer, finally delivering an accurate weight result on this crane scale.
