This morning, the factory yard of EAST OCEAN PROPELLER-MAKING CO.,LTD was bustling with activity. A truck is being carefully loaded with custom propeller cap fins, soon to head out. These products are bound for a major shipping company in Southeast Asia, to be used in the energy-saving retrofitting project of the main container ships' propulsion systems. The customer for this order is a well-known shipowner with long-term operations on Southeast Asia's ocean routes, who sets strict requirements for the reliability, energy efficiency and compliance of marine equipment. The custom cap fin is designed to address their pain points: high fuel consumption and insufficient propulsion efficiency in the fleet.

The custom cap fins being loaded today are high-efficiency energy-saving products tailor-made for the customer's container ships. Cast from high-purity marine copper alloy, the material properties fully meet BV standards, offering both high strength and excellent seawater corrosion resistance for stable long-term operation in the high-salinity, high-humidity marine environment. In terms of design, our engineers optimized the fin surface curvature through hydrodynamic simulation based on the customer's propeller parameters and hull data, significantly reducing hub vortex loss. Actual tests show it can cut fuel consumption by 5%-12%, while effectively reducing propeller cavitation and vibration, extending the service life of tail shafts and seals. To guarantee quality, every cap fin undergoes strict dimensional inspection, surface non-destructive testing and dynamic balancing before delivery, with key processes controlled under BV-approved quality procedures to ensure every unit meets both classification society standards and customer requirements.

For delivery schedule, from drawing confirmation to finished product, we completed the entire production process in just 35 days, far faster than the industry's standard 50-day lead time. This is made possible by our mature custom production system: CNC equipment and standardized procedures are used throughout casting, machining, polishing and inspection, while dynamic production scheduling prioritizes key order delivery milestones. To keep the customer updated, we regularly sent progress photos and videos during production, and shared test reports of key processes for review, ensuring full transparency.

Once fully loaded, the truck carrying the custom cap fins will leave the factory and head for its destination.
