Bureau Veritas (BV) Visits Our Factory For Audit: Fortifying The Foundation Of Propeller Production With Professional Inspection

Dec 18, 2025

Recently, the audit team from Bureau Veritas (BV), a world-renowned third-party inspection and certification organization, visited our factory to conduct a special audit on the production process of marine propellers. As a core component of the ship's power system, the production precision and quality of propellers are directly related to navigation safety. This audit is not only a rigorous inspection of the standardization of our production but also an important opportunity to help us align with international maritime standards and enhance product competitiveness. The entire factory attached great importance to it and made comprehensive preparations in advance.

To ensure the smooth progress of the audit, we sorted out the whole-process documents from the smelting of alloy raw materials to the delivery of finished propellers in advance, including material test reports of high-strength alloys, programming parameter files for CNC machining, and quality inspection reports of key links such as dynamic balance testing and anti-corrosion treatment. In the production workshop, we arranged core equipment such as large CNC milling machines and heat treatment equipment in accordance with the production specifications for marine parts, and clearly marked process nodes such as blank forging, precision milling, and surface polishing, ensuring that the audit team could intuitively understand the overall production situation.

During the audit, the BV team adhered to a rigorous and professional attitude and conducted in-depth and detailed inspections on the production line. They focused on checking key links such as the forging temperature control of propeller blanks, the precision deviation data of CNC machining for blade profiles, and the weld flaw detection records. They also asked in detail about the operation specifications and quality control measures of each process, and used professional instruments to sample and recheck the static balance performance of finished propellers. Regarding the process management of customized propellers, the auditors also carefully checked the ship type parameter conversion records and production schedule tracking forms to confirm the accurate transmission of technical requirements in each link.

In the document audit link, the raw material traceability system, qualification certificates of welders and CNC operators, and the finished product delivery inspection process submitted by us were recognized by the audit team. In response to the suggestions on optimizing the details of the heat treatment process put forward during the audit, the technical personnel of our factory recorded them on the spot and had in-depth exchanges with the auditors on improvement plans, demonstrating our sincerity and determination for continuous improvement.

This BV audit is not only an inspection but also a valuable learning opportunity. Through the communication with the professional organization, we have further clarified the room for improvement in the propeller production process and verified the compliance of the existing system. In the future, we will take this audit as an opportunity to consolidate the advantageous processes, optimize the weak links, and ensure the quality of propellers with more stringent standards, so as to provide more reliable core components for shipbuilding enterprises.news-3547-2660
